Scope & Content Washington Senior High School, at 1631 East Woodrow Place, is scheduled to open next September as a voluntarily desegregated comprehensive high school with 1200 pupils--600 black and 600 white.

With the exception of Washington's 1974 graduating seniors, who may automatically remain there, the plan provides that all other students who will attend Washington next year, will be those who voluntarily make application for admission.

Students may volunteer to attend for one year or for one semester. They must remain there for a minimum of one semester and are encouraged to stay for three years. However, students may renew their intent each semester. Priority for admission will be given those students who volunteer for one year. Because of the large number of anticipated black student volunteers to Washington, it may be necessary to limit their stay to one year to assure that all black students in the Washington area can spend at least one year in their neighborhood school...

The application on the back of the brochure is made out in the name of Mildred Robertson.
