Black & white photograph measuring 4.5" x 2.75" and depicting the 1927 construction of the Tulsa Building located at 115 East 5th Street in Tulsa, OK. The architectural firm of Rush, Endicott, & Rush designed the building, which was constructed in 1927 at a cost of $600,000. Patterson Steel Company provided the steel girders for the eleven-story building. The Tulsa Chamber of Commerce and the Tulsa Club joined efforts to finance the construction project. The image shows the steel girders in place. The foreground shows a row of parked automobiles. |
