Scope & Content |
Color, panoramic print measuring 35" x 8" of a mural entitled, "Panorama of Petroleum" by Tulsa artist Delbert Jackson. The mural is a depiction of oil field activity in Oklahoma, including exploration, production, refining, and delivery. There are twenty-five Tulsa oilmen depicted in the mural as well as the artist. The original 13' x 56' mural was on display in the Hall of Petroleum at the Smithsonian (1967). The mural was in storage for three decades after the exhibit closed. It was returned to Tulsa and has been on display at the Tulsa International Airport since 1998. |
