Three-page, typewritten copy of a construction progress report prepared by William Rea Holway of Holway and Neuffer Consulting Engineers of Tulsa, OK, to the board members of the Grand River Dam Authority in Vinita, OK, dated December 5, 1938. The report contains a summary of progress on the construction of the Pensacola Dam project on the Grand River in Oklahoma. Holway briefly highlights construction contracts #5-13A, earth excavation, rock excavation, coffer dam, construction plant, Whitebird Quarry, later contracts, and surveying and mapping. The report also contains two diagrams: a construction progress diagram for contract #7 (dam and power house) drawn by A. B. Morgan and an excavation progress diagram dated November 30, 1938 and drawn by Charles Nichols showing a general plans, earth excavation, rock excavation. Author William Rea Holway referred to this resource as "Exhibit VII-5" in the first volume of his 1968 work, "A History of the Grand River Dam Authority." |
