Reference document containing a list of the persons that were depicted in the mural entitled, "Panorama of Petroleum" by Tulsa artist Delbert Jackson. Each name contains a brief description of who the person is and how they are related to the oil industry. The list measures 8.5" x 7.5". The mural is a depiction of oil field activity in Oklahoma, including exploration, production, refining, and delivery. There are twenty-five Tulsa oilmen depicted in the mural as well as the artist. The 13' x 56' mural was on display in the Hall of Petroleum at the Smithsonian (1967). The mural was in storage for three decades after the exhibit closed. It was returned to Tulsa and has been on display at the Tulsa International Airport since 1998. |
