Scrapbook containing forty-eight pages of newspaper clippings and theater playbills concerning Oklahoman and vaudeville performer Cora Youngblood Corson. Corson (1886-1943) formed the Cora Youngblood Corson Sextette and performed in vaudeville acts nationwide and overseas. Corson was active in promoting unionism for actors and actresses. Many articles in the scrapbook concern the White Rats Actors' Union of America. A catalog of brass tubas from the C. G. Conn Company is also included. The scrapbook also contains obituaries and a photograph of Coranna Mary Jane Condon, the daughter of Glenn and Eula Youngblood Condon of Tulsa, OK. The inside front cover contains a program from the 1916 banquet and ball of the Tulsa Press Club held in Convention Hall. |
