Four-page, typewritten copy of a construction progress report prepared by William Rea Holway of Holway and Neuffer Consulting Engineers of Tulsa, OK, to the board members of the Grand River Dam Authority in Vinita, OK, dated February 3, 1939. The report contains a summary of progress on the construction of the Pensacola Dam project on the Grand River in Oklahoma. Holway briefly highlights construction contracts #5-13A, earth excavation, aggregate, concrete, equipment, future contracts, surveying and mapping, and power sales. The report also contains three diagrams: a construction progress diagram for contract #8 (Grove Highway Bridge) dated February 1, 1939 and drawn by E. F. Dibble, a construction progress diagram for contract #10 (relocation of K. O. & G. Railway) dated January 31, 1939 and drawn by W. E. Harris, and an excavation progress diagram for Contract #7 (dam and power house) dated January 31, 1939 and drawn by Charles Nichols. Author William Rea Holway referred to this resource as "Exhibit VII-5" in the first volume of his 1968 work, "A History of the Grand River Dam Authority." |
