Three-pages of resolutions passed by directors of the Grand River Dam Authority. The first resolution, passed January 2, 1962, authorized the lake created by the Markham Ferry Project to be named "Lake Hudson" in honor of long-time director Washington E. Hudson. The two additional pages contain an resolution passed January 2, 1962 authorizing what was then called the "Markham Ferry Dam" to be named "Robert S. Kerr Dam" in honor of U.S. Senator Kerr of Oklahoma. Author William Rea Holway referred to this resource as "Exhibit XV-69" in the second volume of his 1969 work, "A History of the Grand River Dam Authority." |
