Picture postcard bearing a color image of a night scene on South Main Street, Tulsa, OK, circa 1955. The Tulsa Theatre, located at 215 South Main, is visible on the far left. Price Sporting Goods, at 219 South Main, is also visible on the left. On the right side of the street, three large neon signs are visible for the following businesses: Holly Shop (222 South Main), J. C. Penney Company (212), and Crown Drugs (204). The postcard bears a postmark of April 7, 1970. It is addressed to Bethel Overline of Sheridan WY from Effie Pasch of Dunellen, NJ. Pasch included the statement, "This block gone now." Oklahoma News Company manufactured the postcard. |
