Oral history interview of Annabelle Monnet recorded on October 5, 1979 by volunteers Laura Martins and Carol Johnson of the Junior League of Tulsa, Inc. and given to the Tulsa County Historical Society. Monnet, longtime Tulsan, tells of her life and Tulsa's architecture. She discusses Boston Avenue United Methodist Church and the controversy concerning its designer, Art Deco buildings, and Tulsa in the Great Depression. Monnet has interesting insight into the memory of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and why in the 1970s it was so difficult for many to discuss.
