Souvenir card about the Western Village Longhorn Dining Room being the 13th winner of the Golden Butter Knife steak award. The card is gold on the front with navy writing and the image of a butter knife. Roy L. Morgan created Western Village, which included a hotel, pool and cabana, 18-hole golf course, restaurant, shops, helicopter port, and airplane landing strip. The site was located at 11334 East Admiral Place in Tulsa, OK. On the back: On March 14, 1955, Maurice C. Dreicer, internationally famous gourmet, author, traveler and idea counselor, presented his 13th "Golden Butter Knife" award to Roy L. Morgan and his Western Village. In his nine years of world travel to find "The Perfect Steak" Dreicer has found only 12 eating establishments which qualified close enough for the Gold Award before testing the steak at Western Village. To date Dreicer had test eaten 7,211 steaks in his search for the perfect steak. We hope you enjoyed your visit to our Longhorn Dining Room and that you will keep this card as a token of an enjoyable visit. Western Village Hotel & Inn 11334 East Admiral Place, Tulsa, OK. |
