Pencil sketch created by artist May Lee for use in a historical fiction book entitled "The Brothers Reno," authored by Jesse Lee Vint, III. Vint included a caption for the sketch indicating that the individual is his grandfather, Jesse Lee Vint, I (1883-1957). Jesse Lee Vint, III was born September 21, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jesse Lee Vint, Jr. and Paula Mae (Rhodes) Vint. The family lived at 1717 South Columbia Avenue. Later, the family moved to 2835 East 56th Place. Jesse Vint, Jr. began as an engineer for Unit Rig & Equipment Company of Tulsa, located at 12 North Cheyenne Avenue. He later became president of the company and served in that capacity for twenty-five years. Paula Mae (Rhodes) Vint was a women's singles tennis champion prior to her marriage. Jesse Lee Vint, III attended school at Central High School and Edison High School. He later the Oklahoma Military Academy and Oklahoma University. Vint did not enjoy school, so he decided to go to New York City to study acting. After his studies, he went to Los Angeles, California to begin his acting career. Within a year, he starred in the 1970 film "Little Big Man," about George Armstrong Custer. He later starred in movies such as "Silent Running," "Macon County Line," and "Black Oak Conspiracy." Vint also held a role in the movie "Fast Charlie . . . The Moonbeam Rider," which was filmed in part near Lawton, Oklahoma. He starred in many television movies including "The Death Squad," "The Disappearance of Flight 412" and "Deep Red." Vint also appeared in numerous television shows including "Bonanza," "Mission: Impossible," "Chopper One," "Bret Maverick," and "Matlock." Vint starred in several productions with his brother, Alan Richard Vint. Vint starred in more than one hundred films and television shows. He has lived in Los Angeles, California; Portland, Oregon; and Vancouver, Washington. He is the father of Jesse Lee Vint, IV. |
