Twenty-two pages of copies of typewritten correspondence prepared by Holway and Neuffer Consulting Engineers of Tulsa, OK, in response to criticisms from the Federal Power Commission pertaining to the plans for the construction of Pensacola Dam on the Grand River in Oklahoma. The first six pages include a memorandum from engineer William Rea Holway, in which he comments on specific changes recommended by the Federal Power Commission. Page seven includes a brief list of changes to the contract for the construction of the dam as proposed by Holway and Neuffer Consulting Engineers and approved by the Grand River Dam Authority on June 10, 1938. The remaining pages include a cover letter from Victor H. Cochrane, a consulting engineer working for Holway and Neuffer Consulting Engineers, and responses to specific recommendations made by the Federal Power Commission for the dam construction. Author William Rea Holway referred to this resource as "Exhibit X-4" in the first volume of his 1968 work, "A History of the Grand River Dam Authority." |
