Newspaper clipping from the Tulsa Daily World published July 7, 1921 and entitled "Rotary Club Favors New Terminals Here." This article reports the passage of a resolution by the Rotary Club of Tulsa asking city officials for a new union station and terminal be constructed in Tulsa for use by both steam railroads and the interurban rail lines. Members of the club originally added to the resolution that the new terminal should be built within the African American community that was burned in the Tulsa Race Massacre. However, the members removed that provision from the resolution prior to passage. |
