Scrapbook compiled by Glenn Condon while managing the Majestic Theatre in Tulsa, OK. Following his service in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWI, Condon became manager of the theater, which was located at 406 South Main Street and featured a seating capacity of 1,000. The scrapbook measures 11.25" x 16" and contains items Condon collected from May 1919 to October 1919. It contains newspaper clippings of featured movies, actors, and actresses, as well as a few admission tickets, playbills, and pieces of correspondence. Some of the articles highlight performances given my Condon's sister-in-law, musician Cora Youngblood Corson. |
