Newspaper clipping from the Tulsa Daily World published June 15, 1921 and entitled "Many Witnesses Quizzed By Jury; New Names Added Daily to List of Those to Testify on Rioting." This article reports on the testimony given on Tuesday, June 14, 1921 in the grand jury investigation into the Tulsa Race Massacre. Twenty witnesses testified, including police officers and African Americans. The article lists the names of many who gave testimony. The bottom of the newspaper clipping includes a small article entitled "Enid Negroes Help Tulsa." The article reports that the Needlecraft Club of Enid, OK, donated clothing and other articles to the American Red Cross relief efforts in Tulsa. The Enid club is comprised of African Americans. |
