Three-page, typewritten construction progress report prepared by William Rea Holway of Holway and Neuffer Consulting Engineers of Tulsa, OK, to the board members of the Grand River Dam Authority in Vinita, OK, dated August 13, 1940. The report contains a summary of progress on the construction of the Pensacola Dam project on the Grand River in Oklahoma. Holway briefly highlights construction contracts #5-7 and 12-13. These contracts involve the following work: hydraulic turbines, electric generators, dam and power house, clearing for lake area, power house auxiliaries and switchyard, Pensacola-Claremore transmission line, and observation house and miscellaneous structures. Author William Rea Holway referred to this resource as "Exhibit VII-5" in the first volume of his 1968 work, "A History of the Grand River Dam Authority." |
