Scope & Content |
Stock certificate measuring 12" x 9.0625" and certifying the purchase of ten shares of stock from the U. S. Compression Inner Tube Company by R. L. Wolfe. The front of the certificate depicts an illustration of a woman holding a wreath and American flag shield and looking out over a city to her right and a collection of teepees and a Native American man on a horse to her left. Below the illustration is the information about the stock purchase (number 5595, purchased on January 22, 1921) and the signatures of the secretary and president of the company. The back contains filigree designs and a place for the stock to be signed and transferred to another owner. |
