Five-page, typewritten copy of a letter sent by Fred P. Branson of Muskogee, OK and vice-chairman of the Grand River Dam Authority, to France Paris, general manager of the Grand River Dam Authority of Vinita, OK, dated August 2, 1949. Branson voices his displeasure in the treatment of residents of Sallisaw and Stilwell, OK by officials of the Grand River Dam Authority at a board meeting held August 1, 1949. He also vigorously attacks the engineering contracts made between the Authority and W. R. Holway and Associates. Author William Rea Holway referred to this resource as "Exhibit XVIII-8" in the second volume of his 1969 work, "A History of the Grand River Dam Authority." |
