The cover article is on Wayman Lawrence Tisdale, Sr., June 9, 1964 - May 15, 2009. Wayman Lawrence Tisdale grew up in Tulsa, OK and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He played college basketball at the University of Oklahoma, 1982-1985. He won a gold medal as a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic basketball team. He went on to play professional basketball with the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, and Phoenix Suns. Tisdale retired in 1997 to focus on his musical career as a smooth jazz bass guitarist.
