Black & white cabinet card photograph measuring 8" x 6" and depicting a group of Osage men from Pawhuska, Osage Nation with two Caucasian men, circa 1894. The Caucasian man to the far right is outlaw John Yockey, also known as Tulsa Jack. An unidentified Caucasian man stands at the far left. The photograph was taken near the intersection of Main Street and the railroad tracks of the Saint Louis & San Francisco "Frisco" Railway in Tulsa, Creek Nation circa 1894. The reverse contains a typed label reading, "Osage Indians from Pawhuska visiting Tulsa in the early days. The Indians traded in Tulsa, I.T in 1894." |
