Description |
Black & white cabinet card measuring 3.875" x 5.5" and depicting a group of Osage men wrapped in blankets standing with a few white men on the steps of a rock structure. A U.S. flag is visible. The front of the photograph contains the inscription, "Osage Council, '95." The back of the photograph contains the names of the inviduals which are as follows: (front row left to right): Julian Tumbly, Saucy Chief, Charles Prudom, and Mo-she-to-moie. Second row, left to right: Black Dog, O-lo-hah-wal-la, A-she-gah-hre, and Tse-mp-hah. Third row, left to right: W. T. Leahey, Joe Boulanger, Che-sho-hun-kah, and Claremore. Fourth row, left to right: Ne-kah-wah-she-tun-kah, Governor Bigheart, and Pete Casey. Back row, left to right: John Mosier, interpreter and White Horn. |
