Description |
Black & white photograph measuring 8" x 10" and depicting the last of the 950 Douglas B-24 Liberators built at the Douglas Aircraft Plant in Tulsa, the "Tulsamerican." Autographs of the workers who buit the aircraft can be clearly seen on the side of the aircraft. The aircraft was lost over the coast of Croatia in the Adriatic Ocean on 12/14/1944. Seven crew members were rescued and three were presumed killed in action. The wreckage of the aircraft was located in 2015. |
