Black & white picture postcard measuring 3.4375" x 5.4375" displaying an aerial photograph of the newly completed International Petroleum Exposition (IPE) Building in 1966. The downtown Tulsa skyline is visible in the background. The card also carries an advertisement for the photography company that took the picture, Cornelius Photography. This picture postcard is one of hundreds produced by Cornelius Photography as advertisement for the company. Jerry L. Cornelius began the photography company, which was located at 1512 South Peoria Avenue in Tulsa, OK. Cornelius later became the first photographer in Oklahoma to be named a Certified Professional Photographer by the Oklahoma Photographer's Certification Commission. |
