Color, digital photograph of election ballots at voting precinct 115 in Tulsa, OK on June 30, 2020. Many changes were made to election procedures during the COVID pandemic to help contain the virus while still allowing people to vote. One complication of COVID was that the typical poll worker, average age seventy, fell into the high-risk category for the virus. Many new poll workers were recruited so the high-risk workers could stay home. Poll workers and voters were encouraged to wear masks and social distance. Hand sanitizer was provided by the election board and each voter received his own pen to mark ballots. |
