Black & white photograph measuring 8" x 10" and depicting the dedication ceremony for the one-thousandth A-26 Invader manufactured at Douglas Aircraft Company in Tulsa, OK. The image features Osage Chief Fred Lookout (left) and Douglas plant manager W. G. Jerrems. During the dedication, Lookout christened the A-26 with crude oil from one of his own oil wells. The A-26 was named "Wa-Ko-Tha-Tonka," or "Menace to the Enemy." |
