Reproduction, black and white photograph measuring 10" x 8" and depicting the interior of Shackle Drug Company, located at 115 South Main Street in Tulsa, OK. Al Musick is visible in the background on the right. He has his arm on the counter. The image shows numerous customers sitting at tables. Tulsans considered Shackle's the best drugstore in town. It contained an alabaster marble counter, mirrored walls, and soda fountain. Owner Tom Shackle was a well known Tulsan who adopted an orphan named Al Musick, who later became a prominent Tulsa business owner in his own right and lived to the age of 102. |
