Description |
Black and white photograph measuring 7" x 5" and depicting the first, double-team load of cotton to arrive in Tulsa, Creek Nation in the fall of 1903. The wagon stands in front of the Farmers State Bank in the Bynum Building, located at 201-203 South Main Street in Tulsa, Creek Nation. R. N. Bynum financed the construction of this two-story brick building and it was completed in 1902. Farmers State Bank opened for business in this building on October 19, 1902. S. Wallace Marr was the president and M. L. Fite served as vice-president. The bank later became Farmers National Bank. At the far left, business signs for Tulsa Realty Company and Doctor C. Zenas Wiley are visible. An upstairs window contains lettering advertising doctors Holloman and Wiley. |
