Color, 35 mm, roll film negative containing three images of unidentified actors in the Trail of Tears Drama at the Cherokee Heritage Center in Park Hill, OK. The Center's amphitheater was designed especially for the drama, which ran from 1969 until 2005. Written by Kermit Hunter, it depicted the Cherokees' arrival in Indian Territory and followed the tribe's history through the U.S. Civil War. The drama was highlighted in 1992 as part of the Year of the Indian, proclaimed by Oklahoma Governor David Walters. |
