Reproduction, black & white photograph measuring 4.75" x 6.75" and depicting a portrait of Dr. Charles Layfayette Reeder (1862-1926) of Tulsa, OK. He was born July 6, 1862 in Orleans, IA to parents Philander C. Reeder and Mary Maria Edwards Reeder. In 1889, he married Jessica Viola Goodamonte of Springville, NY. In 1890, Charles Reeder graduated with a medical degree from Barnes Medical College of Saint Louis, MO. The same year, Reeder moved to Tulsa, Creek Nation and became a pioneer physician. He served on the Tulsa Hospital Association and was one of the founding organizers of the Tulsa Hospital in 1906. Reeder also served as president of the Tulsa Opera House Company |
