Sepia-toned portrait photograph measuring 4" x 6" depicting Helen Patricia Morsani (1927-2016) at age five months and her mother, Helen Beatrice Crane (1910-2008). The paper photograph folio contains a logo at the bottom margin indicating that Hughes Studio of Vinita, OK produced the photograph. James Dixon "Dick" Hughes (1873-1930), opened an early photography studio in Tulsa prior to statehood and later in Vinita, OK. His wife ran the business after his death. The subject of this photograph, Helen Patricia Morsani, was the great-neice, by marriage, of the photographer. |
