Description |
Sepia-toned photograph measuring 3.5" x 5.75" of temporary housing constructed in the Greenwood District by the American Red Cross following the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The houses are constructed of wooden planks and the one in the middle contains a canvas top. The middle building contains lettering written on the wooden planks stating, "Home Cooking" and "Home Made Pies." Four African American men stand on the left. An African American woman stands in front of the building with a canvas top. |
