Digital image of a sepia-toned photograph showing the exterior of the Mid-West Chevrolet Company building and the company's employees. This photograph was taken at the northwest corner of 8th Street and South Cincinnati Avenue in Tulsa, OK. The employees are standing and sitting on both sides of the corner. Several early automobiles are visible in the photograph. The Mid-West Chevrolet Company began in 1924 in a building located at 301 S. Frankfort Avenue. G. D. Wertzberger served as president, Fred Shaw served as vice-president and general manager, and C. R. Evans served as secretary and treasurer. The next year, 1925, the business moved to 316 E. 2nd Street. In 1926, the company moved to the location shown in this photograph. |
