Sepia-toned photograph measuring 3.5" x 5.875 of the charred remains of an African American laying on the ground near the Saint Louis & San Francisco "Frisco" Railway Depot following the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. On the far right, the burned remnants of a motorcycle are visible. The back of the photograph contains two handwritten notations. The first, in pencil, states, "By the Frisco Depot." The second, in ink, states, "Tulsa Race Riot 1921." |
