Color photograph measuring 10" x 3" and depicting a group of individuals on the west lawn of the Travis Mansion, the Italianate Revival mansion built in 1919 by Tulsa oilman Samuel Rabinowitz Travis at 2445 South Peoria Avenue in Tulsa, OK. The image was taken during the ground breaking ceremony held in April 2001 for the renovation of the mansion for the future home of the Tulsa Historical Society. Left to right: Richard Ziglar, Mrs. Holbrook (centenarian), unidentified woman, Cameron Webb, Anne Burlingame, Ed Lawson, Merritt Webb, Sharon King Davis. Each person holds a shovel for the groundbreaking ceremony. A group of Holland Hall School second grade students are visible in the background. |
