Description |
Black & white photograph measuring 10" x 8" and depicting the fabrication of a giant welded-plate girder in the factory of Patterson Steel Company, Tulsa, OK. The girder was used in the construction of the North Greenwood Avenue overpass on the Crosstown Expressway (U.S. Highway 412/Interstate 244). The girder measured 122 feet long and weighed 31,000 pounds. The image shows the girder resting on a railroad car. |
