Description |
Black and white photograph measuring 5.5" x 3.875" and depicting the Hall Store in 1894, located at what became the northwest corner of South Main Street and First Street in Tulsa, Creek Nation. Harry C. Hall and James Monroe Hall founded the store. H. C. died in 1895. J. M. continued to run the store until 1903 when he sold it. The man standing to left of second pole from the left is Dave Graybeal, clerk. To the right of that pole is J.M. Hall. The man sitting is Alfred Hoots, cattleman. The man to the left of the third pole from the left is George Perryman. To the right of that pole is J.B. Hall, clerk. The man with his arm around pole, second from the right is R.E. Lynch, clerk. The back of the photograph contains a handwritten notation reading, "First building was one story. This was raised to two stories in 1894." |
