Color photograph measuring 10" x 8" and depicting a night scene of the 21st Street bridge over the Arkansas River in Tulsa, OK. The background contains a view of the Tulsa skyline with the University Club Tower, completed in 1966, on the right. The bridge, constructed from 1931 to 1932, was the longest concrete bridge in the state of Oklahoma upon its completion. The open-spandrel arch bridge contained twenty-one spans and measured 1,880 feet long. Rucks-Brandt Construction Company of Tulsa, OK constructed the bridge. The back of the photograph contains a rubber stamp reading, "Compliments of University Club, 1722 S. Carson, Tulsa, OK 74119, 918-585-1577." |
