Black & white sheet film negative measuring 5" x 4" and depicting the groundbreaking ceremony for the Keystone Dam west of Tulsa, OK on the Arkansas River. The image shows a number of people sitting on the dais during the ceremony, including U.S. Representative Page Belcher, Gary Vandever, and U.S. Senator Robert S. Kerr. Nearly 1,000 people attended the ceremony marking the beginning of construction of the $138 million Keystone Dam. The ceremony was held at the north end of the dam site, eight miles west of Sand Springs, OK. |
