Description |
Sepia-toned photograph measuring 10" x 8" of the supply room set up by the American Red Cross in the Booker T. Washington High School building, located at 502 North Frankfort Avenue, following the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The photograph shows five individuals standing in a storeroom containing canned foodstuffs, dishes, and bolts of fabric. The back of the photograph contains a handwritten caption stating, "Supply Department." It also contains the photographer's stamp indicating Gifford I. Talmage took this photograph. Photographer Talmage's studio was located in the Robinson Building at 519 West Fourth Street. |
