Sepia-toned portrait photograph measuring 4" x 6" contained in a paperboard folio, of Frankie Marie Crane (1906-1978). Crane was the daughter of Horace Orlando Crane (1873-1946) and Marie Virginia (Herard) Crane (1872-1928). The frame contains a logo at the bottom margin indicating that Hughes Studio produced the photograph. James Dixon "Dick" Hughes (1873-1930), opened an early photography studio in Tulsa prior to statehood and later in Vinita, OK. His wife ran the business after his death. Frankie Marie Crane was the niece of the photographer. |
